A funny thing happened to me last night – I had a funny dream. I woke up laughing my head off. Well, having a good old giggle...
Now, how often does that happen, eh? Dreams, or the ones we remember, are usually sombre, or forbidding, or frightening even.
But I remember waking with at least two good punchlines going round my head. And I remember thinking, I should write them down straight away, before I forget. Followed immediately by, No – they’re too good to forget. Then I drifted off again.
Guess what!? Can I remember them?
That’s really sad – probably the only funny dream I’ll ever have and I can’t remember it.
Bugger.
