DO THE DECENT THING, CONWAY TWITTY

Okay, nice seeing you, Mr Happy. Now shove over for a bit. This is serious stuff.

Senior Tory MP Derek Conway paid his 22-year-old son Freddie £45,000 for ‘research’ over three years. But the Commons Standards Committee was told there was ‘no record’ of any of the work.

The MP is likely to be suspended from the Commons for 10 days and ordered to repay about £13,000 of taxpayers' money (yours and mine) .

I beg your pardon!?

Where I come from, this ‘oversight’ is called something else – and police, charges, and courts are often involved. At the very least a sacking or a resignation.

Mr Conway Senior is certainly not fit for public office.
