My piece the other day about the Archbishop of Recanterbury, as I now call him, has sparked a rash of adverts on this page for religious websites, mainly single-religion dating sites, it would appear.
As an avowed atheist and humanist (me, not the Archbishop – as far as we know), that’s a tad annoying. It's doubly annoying that these people are promoting same-faith marriages, when 'mixed' marriages must surely promote tolerance and some understanding. (I know about these things. My best C of E mate married a Papist – which is mixed in all but deity – and they've been happily hitched for nigh on 40 years.)
Mind you, I have a sneaking feeling that the last sentence of my previous piece will redress the ad balance.
